It has been publishing the laws of Tasmania and Papua New Guinea (PNG) since the beginning of 1995. It has established itself as the premier publisher of both Tasmanian and Papua New Guinean law. It already has impressive sets of legal databases for both jurisdictions, and is committed to continually expanding them.

Apart from publishing general sets of laws, NiuMedia Pacific has been commissioned to prepare specialised sets of legislation and databases. NiuMedia Pacific has several full-time and part-time employees. Its full-time employees have qualifications in law and computing. It also has a strong network of consultants on whose services it draws from time to time.

NiuMedia Pacific has established excellent working relationships with several University Law Schools (including at the University of Tasmania, the University of Papua New Guinea and the University of the West Indies).

It has established strong relationships with legal organisations in Tasmania and Papua New Guinea to ensure that its legal databases serve the needs of the legal profession in these jurisdictions. It is committed to developing similar relationships with other legal organisations in Pacific Island countries.

NiuMedia Pacific is currently developing plans to expand its publishing operations to cover other Pacific Island States besides Papua New Guinea. It already has an important collection of legal materials from several Pacific Island jurisdictions. It is also developing publishing opportunities in the West Indies, central and southern Africa and Malaysia.

NiuMedia Pacific's legal databases are distributed widely (from Washington DC to small Pacific islands) and run in various configurations - from standalone computers located in rural areas where electricity and telecommunications are poor and uncertain, to networked computers in Metropolitan areas (CBDs). This has given NiuMedia Pacific a unique opportunity to develop databases, delivery systems and a help desk facility to suit varying circumstances.
