[Note:

What
is the Internet Retriever:
The Internet Retriever allows
NiuMedia Pacific's (tasInLaw) clients to download relatively small file (RETRIEVE.NFO)
containing recent Supreme Court judgments, new Comments on Passing Sentence (COPS),
updated legislation and other legal information that have become available since
the last tasInLaw CD update was published. (See below for details of contents
of file.)
How
to download the Internet Retriever:
To download the file, either:
- click
on the words retrieve.zip with the left mouse
button and save the file to your hard disk drive; or
- click
on the words retrieve.zip with the right mouse
button and select Save Link / Target As... from the
drop down menu list. (You will then get a message to choose the location
on your hard drive where you want to save the retrieve.zip file.)
Choose a folder on your hard drive and save the file. (You may want to save it
in your tasInLaw folder so that in future, new retrieve.zip files will overwrite
old retrieve.zip files and ensure that you do not use-up valuable space on your
hard drive.)
How
to install the Internet Retriever Infobase:
Once you have saved the
retrieve.zip file on your hard drive, locate the file, double-click to open
it and then click on the Install Button. Follow the instructions on your screen. (You
may need to click on the WinZip Classic button to see the Install Button.)
Make sure that you install
the tasInLaw Internet Retriever file (RETRIEVE.NFO) in your tasInLaw folder.
(Note: If tasInLaw is installed on your network, make sure that the tasInLaw
Internet Retriever is installed in the same folder on your network drive.)
